African-American Art Lovers & Collectors

African American Art Lovers & Collectors Group encourages, publicizes, promotes and preserves the creative work of all African-American artists. Our meetings will bring you in direct contact with outstanding African-American artists, lecturers, educators and demonstrators. A nationally known or upcoming artist will demonstrate and lecture at each meeting. The objective of this group is to elevate the art standards of the African-American community by education through the various projects of the group and programs sponsored or presented by this group.

There will be on occasion one day events and trips to African-American exhibits here in the tri-state area. Because mainstream venues are often inaccessible to African-American artists, our exhibits and demonstrations will allow artists to reflect their cultural heritage.

Since many of the Black artists are also educators, they seek to educate our community to the importance of African art and culture. They will serve us as mentors to a new generation of African-American artists and enthusiasts.
