The Sounds of Taraab will be performing at Lava Gina, a world music lounge in lower Manhattan on March 8th. A smaller group [a quartet] for a smaller, intimate place, but the same beautiful Swahili songs from Zanzibar & Mombasa, innovative instrumental improv, and pulsating rthymn that makes this music so wonderful.
